SWSD have secured an allocation for a sports hub with enabling residential development in the Plymouth & South-West Devon Joint Local Plan, which was adopted in March 2019.
Our team successfully argued that the neighbouring development at Coypool Park, a brownfield redevelopment project, was unlikely to deliver policy compliant levels of affordable housing and would fail to meet this critical need. As such, land to the north was also required to provide additional housing and a vast range of other community benefits including a sports hub, pitches and hilltop park to complement the scheme by Barratt Homes.
We are currently preparing an outline application for this development which will be submitted in the near future.
